The Seeds Of Love is het 3e studio-album van Tears For Fears en werd voor het eerst uitgebracht in 1989. Na het succes van hun vorige albums mocht The seeds of love iets kosten. De groep spendeerde destijds 1 miljoen pond aan de opnames van het nieuwe album. Maar het resultaat mocht er zijn. De singles Sowing The Seeds Of Love, Woman In Chains (duet met Oleta Adams) en Advice For The Young At Heart werden allemaal grote hits en het album kreeg goud of platina in de meeste landen.
