In 2004 bracht Snoop Dog de LP R&G (Rhythm & Gansta): The Masterpiece uit. Het is zijn zevende album. Snoop Dog dook met bekend volk de studio in New York in en leverde 1 van zijn meesterwerken af. Zo werkten oa. 50 Cent, Nelly, Bee Gees (!), Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake en Bootsy Collins mee aan het album.
Het bekendste nummer is de single samen met Pharrell Williams, Drop It Like It's Hot.
