Lana Del Rey bracht in 2014 de LP Ultraviolence uit.  Als je ernaar luistert, besef je dat dit album voortborduurt op bekend materiaal. Toch lijkt de muzikante veel volwassener en niet meer zo breekbaar als op haar vorige album "Born To Die". "Super 8-films voor de oren", zo omschrijft de artieste zelf graag haar nieuwe nummers. Haar nieuwe nummers bieden complexiteit en Lana laat zien wat ze met haar stem kan doen. Soms zingt ze op een nogal meisjesachtige, wulpse manier, terwijl ze in andere nummers meer nonchalant en cool is. Haar eigen ervaringen vloeien ook in de nummers en natuurlijk is er geen gebrek aan provocatie. The Beatles speelden hun eerste concert in de beroemde Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles op 23 augustus 1964. De opnamen van de driesporenbandrecorder waren echter van zo'n slechte kwaliteit dat ze niet werden gepubliceerd. Ook nog twee concertopnamen van 29 en 30 augustus 1965 waren niet genoeg voor een release. Toen de vraag naar een live-album echter in de loop van de tijd groeide, ging Beatles-producer George Martin zitten om het op te nemen. De LP DNA van danny Vera kwam tot stand op een andere manier dan gebruikelijk voor Vera. “Waar ik normaal twee à drie jaar doe over twintig liedjes, heb ik ze nu in twee maanden tijd geschreven”, vertelt hij. “Alles kwam er eigenlijk gewoon spontaan uit.” De vibe van het album is aanmerkelijk anders dan die op zijn vorige plaat. “Ik merkte al snel dat er een andere sfeer ontstond in de liedjes, vergeleken met mijn vorige album 'The New Now'. Het was wat authentieker, meer rock 'n' roll & blues – en zo moesten de liedjes dus ook klinken, zo authentiek mogelijk.”  Uiteindelijk belandden er zestien liedjes op het album. 'DNA' is een album geworden waarop Danny Vera terugkeert naar zijn bakermat, met songs die hun wortels hebben in de Amerikaanse rootsmuziek van weleer. Zonder clicktracks, autotune of betrokkenheid van een writerscamp. Solide nummers, variërend van klassieke Danny Vera-ballads tot frisse, uptempo rock 'n' roll. De LP Please Please Me van The Beatles werd in een recordtempo opgenomen. Maar liefst 10 van de 14 nummers stonden op 1 dag op band. De iconische hoesfoto werd begin 1963 gemaakt door Angus McBean op het toenmalige hoofdkantoor van EMI Limited op 20 Manchester Square in het Londense West End. EMI bleef in dit gebouw tot 1995, toen ze verhuisden naar West-Londen en de beroemde balkonreling meenamen.
