Belgian Bass  van Milo Spykers is een ode aan de Belgische dance muziek. Een mix van techno en old school rave! Kicking off with authority is the thunderous open ing track "Stainless Steel", armed with a marching kickdrum and whompy bass. The track breaks down midwa yto give way to a weighted synth melody and flared hi h ats that conjoin with a triad of melodic themes, creating an intoxicating blend of rhythm and sound. Next up and packed with explosive pairings is "Blood Hound" . Taunting synths and a punching kick create a propulsive rhythm. More chaotic t han its predecessor, an array of drums are used to raise the intensity. Sinister synth notes blend seamlessly with the dramatic percussion that feels custom bui lt for dark, thumping techno basements. On the flip is title track "B elgian Bass", a high voltage stomper with a powerful kick, jackin' rhythm and me tallic textures. Siren like synths sound out amongst powerful snares and cymbals . Creating an almost cinematic feeling, the track is brilliantly hectic, broken up by a solitary clap before the chaos resumes. Lastly is "Cjax", a raucous roll er that feels like a perfect peak time energy spike, ending the record on a triu mphant high note. Gurgling vocal samples stir beneath a driving kick drum and sy ncopated hi hats,while stabbing chords cut across the soundscape, intertwined wi th elongated droning synth notes that echo in the distance. Milo Spykers maakt met zijn Thunderworld EP een comeback op het Lenske label van Amelie Lens. Het is zijn vijfde plaat voor het label. Je kan je weer verwachten aan stevige techno. This four-track EP is a testament to Spykers' unique style and innovative approach, perfect for the sweaty dancefloor. It kicks off with the title track 'Thunderworld', bringing a stomping kick and a hard, rolling groove. The bouncing lead, reminiscent of a thunderstorm, paired with cinematic alien sound design, creates an intense atmosphere. A breakbeat section provides a contrasting element, heightening tension during the break. Following, 'Ghostrider' features metallic percussion resonating throughout the track, with a rolling bassline and a catchy groove that keeps listeners anchored to the dancefloor. The rising dark bassline adds an intimatevibe, building suspense and intensity. With a bouncy groove and a trancy bassline, 'Warp Drive' takes listeners on a mind-bending journey.
