Paranormal is de 20ste LP van Alice Cooper. De man weet altijd "schoon volk" te vinden om mee te werken aan zijn albums. Naast zijn vaste groep werkten ook Larry Mullen (U2), Roger Glover (Deep Purple) en Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) mee aan het album. Weetje. Naast een nogal merkwaardige verschijning op het podium en een fantastische artiest, heeft Alice Cooper ook de ludieke politieke ambities om president van de Verenigde Staten te worden. Sinds het uitkomen van zijn single Elected in 1974, heeft Cooper wel ergens om de vier jaar vermeld dat ook hij gaat meedoen aan de presidentsverkiezingen. De leeftijd heeft hij er ondertussen al wel voor. ;-) Alice Cooper is een podiumbeest. Zijn optredens zijn altijd een belevenis maar dat koste hem ook bijna zijn leven. Tijdens 1 van de repetities van een tour in 1987 was het de bedoeling dat hij zichzelf (voor de schijn) zou ophangen aan een koord. Het veiligheidskoord dat voorzien was, brak echter en Cooper kwam bijna om het leven door verstikking.
